1. Competition period
The Smooth Escapes competition opens on 4 July 2026 and closes at 23:59 (SAST) on 31 August 2026. The winner will be drawn on 1 September 2026. Entries received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older. Employees of Wax On Wax Off and Dream Merchant Group, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter. A valid South African ID may be required to claim the prize.
3. How to enter
No purchase is necessary. You may enter free of charge by (a) following @waxon_.waxoff on Instagram, (b) tagging two friends in the comments of the official Smooth Escapes post, and (c) saving that post. In addition, every waxing treatment booked and paid for at Wax On Wax Off during the competition period earns one or more additional entries. Multiple entries are permitted. Booking a treatment increases your number of entries but is not required to enter or to win.
4. The prize
One (1) winner will receive a four-night getaway to the value of R10,000 (ten thousand Rand), including accommodation. The prize is subject to availability and to booking dates being arranged in advance with the Promoter. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part. Travel, meals and incidental costs beyond the stated value are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated. Should the specified prize become unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
5. Winner selection and notification
The winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries. The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message within seven (7) days of the draw and announced on the Wax On Wax Off Instagram and Facebook pages. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within seven (7) days of first notification, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw and select an alternative winner.
6. Personal information (POPIA)
By entering, you consent to Wax On Wax Off collecting and using the personal information you provide solely for the purpose of administering this competition and contacting the winner, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act. Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing without your separate consent.
7. General
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta or Facebook. By entering, you release these platforms from any responsibility. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms or cancel the competition where reasonably necessary.
